Earlier the rural development ministry deposited the first installment of Rs 500 to over four crore Jan Dhan accounts of destitute women as a relief package in wake of the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The amount has been released by the ministry had been credited to more than 20.39 crore Jan Dhan women account holders in April first week.
Women who have Jan Dhan Yojana accounts will be deposited with an exgratia of Rs. 500 for a period of three months as announced previously by finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman.
Now In the second phase, center has deposited money of Rs.500 in each individual Jhan Dhan accounts. Nevertheless, the centre has imposed certain conditions in the method of withdrawal.
Customers who have 0 and 1 at the end of the account number are expected to take their money on Monday. Those who have 4,5 at the end of the account are required to pay on May 6, and those who have 6,7 at the end of the account must draw the money on May 8th. At the women who has, the 8,9- at the end of the account must take their money on May 11th. After May 11, the Center has made it clear that anyone can draw their money anywhere.
