It seems like TDP Chief Chandra Babu Naidu’s decision to reunite the party’s cadre and strengthen it to the core by forming the district parliamentary committees all over the state has gone weirdly wrong. The current situation in the party is not at all to the liking of Chanda Babu Naidu.
At the same time, the state committee in the party was completely purged. A large platter was laid for the BCs. At the same time, the Politburo, the party’s policy-making committee, was also purged. Even if you take such strategic steps, small mistakes have taken place somewhere. In fact, Babu worked hard to set up these committees.
He was well advised, discussed for the leaders whom to opt for the specific parliamentary segment and whom to avoid, and whom to satisfy through other posts. In Srikakulam district, for example, two women leaders have come under one tent. Among them is a key SC leader. She was also a member of the Politburo until yesterday. However, she was removed from the post and appointed party vice-president.
However, giving the same posts to many people who are less senior than her seems to be the reason for her anger over her removal from the post of politburo she has held to date. It seems that she has already written a letter to Chandrababu that she does not need this post.
Gautham Sirisha, daughter of Gautham Shyam Sundar Shivaji of Palasa constituency in the same district, is reportedly very angry with Babu. She was also the district party president until last year’s election. However, Chandrababu, who exceptionally avoided her, did not give her the expected post. She is very much agitated with the party’s high command.
So, the ultimate task before Babu is to pacify them and take their concerns into consideration at the earliest as the TDP can’t bear further rebellions in the party who are about to evolve.
