Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, the son-in-law of the late Chief Minister NT Rama Rao, suffered a mild heart attack soon after his morning walk session this morning (Tuesday). He was rushed to Apollo Hospital by family members where he underwent an emergency angioplasty and a stent was implanted in the arteries.
TDP supermo and former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu paid a visit to Venkateswara Rao in the hospital. He inquired about the health of Purandeswari’s husband and wished for his quick recovery.
In 2019, Venkateswara Rao joined the YSR Congress Party and contested in the Legislative Assembly elections from Parchur Assembly Constituency, Prakasham district. He was defeated by the TDP candidate Eluri Sambasiva Rao with a narrow margin.
