It is a known fact that the family members, TDP leaders and fans of former chief minister NT Rama Rao were deeply hurt after the Andhra Pradesh government, headed by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy changed the name of NTR University of Health Sciences to Dr YSR University of Health Sciences.
This move from the YSRCP government received wide criticism from the TDP activists as well as common people.
The same was discussed by former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his brother-in-law and MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna on the latter’s talk show, Unstoppable With NBK 2.
Mentioning that they named parks of Hyderabad after non-TDP leaders like Krishnakanth and Kasu Brahmananda Reddy during their regime, Mr Naidu said that he didn’t change the name of YSR district when he was the chief minister. “When I was the chief minister, changing the name of YSR district to Kadapa would take just five minutes of my time. But I didn’t do that,” CBN said.
