YSRCP member and Narasapuram MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju is the most famous for his scathing remarks and continued criticism against the decisions his own party takes with respect to the state of Andhra Pradesh.
RRR rebelled against his own party on several occasions, opposing several aspects including the introduction of English as the medium of instruction for all school students, auctioning of TTD lands, and the 3 Capital bill. RRR also regularly holds press meetings in Delhi – where he is currently staying due to the alleged death threats he received from his own party members and constituency members, following his opposition to the party’s views.
RRR has also received personal security from the Central Government, after he had requested for it, following the death threats he received from YSRCP members. Earlier in the year, RRR had also received a show-cause notice from YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy, but RRR had rejected it, claiming that the show-cause notice had no legal sanctity.
While the rivalry between RRR and YSRCP continues, several media circles are rife that CBI raids are taking place at RRR’s house in Hyderabad today. It is said that a special team of officers flew in from Delhi to Hyderabad, and have been searching RRR’s house since 6AM in the morning. However, RRR has rubbished all of these claims, and has said that there’s no CBI raid taking place at his house.
CBI raids had taken place at RRR’s residence before the 2019 elections, as it was reported that RRR had taken a loan of Rs. 2,655 Crores from 3 NBFCs, and had refused to pay the amount back. With Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy having met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi very recently, several YSRCP members are expressing their joy over the fact that Jagan has served the perfect justice to RRR with CBI raids.
With RRR clearly stating that no CBI raids are taking place, and YSRCP members rejoicing over these raids, it is to be seen whose version is actually true in this respect.
