The investigation into the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy has been going on since 2019 when he was murdered right before the general elections. With the Andhra Pradesh government not responding very well to the investigation, Viveka’s daughter approached the Supreme and High Courts, saying that the AP government is intentionally delaying the CID enquiry.
The CBI is now said to have gotten a lead into the case, after they arrested Sunil Kumar Yadav in Goa recently, who was put on judicial remand for 14 days. The CBI is said to have gotten some information on Viveka’s murder, with Sunil, who was questioned at the Kadapa Central Jail, having told the CBI that the weapons used to kill Viveka were buried in a canal near Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple in Pulivendula.
With the CBI having gotten this lead now, looks like the investigation is in its final stages, and it can be said that anything can happen any time soon.
