While the TDP may have lost in all the places of Chittoor district, it managed to win in just one place, which is Kuppam, where TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu won. Ever since then, the YSRCP has been focused on making sure that it wins the Kuppam seat in the 2024 elections, and has been doing everything it can, to make sure that it happens.
The best example of the YSRCP wanting the Kuppam seat at any cost is the investments that it’s been making in Kuppam. Rs 30.36 crore has been allocated to the Nadu Nedu scheme, which is meant to improve the infrastructural facilities in the educational institutions. As many as 117 schools in Kuppam, Ramakuppam, Santipuram and Gurupalle mandals have been selected under this scheme. For the Kuppam Boys School in Kuppam, a staggering amount of Rs 90 lakh is being spent. The school would be developed as a Demo School.
Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy is firm on winning the Kuppam seat from Chandrababu this time, and it is now to be seen how successful he will be in his attempt.
