With the growth and rising popularity of pan-Indian films across India, more and more actors from the Telugu and Tamil industry are looking to work with directors from the other industry. Telugu directors like Vamshi Paidipally, Venky Atluri and Anudeep KV have made films with Tamil actors and managed to deliver good successes. However, the scenario quite opposite when it comes to the films that Tamil directors have made in Telugu.
The trend began several years ago, when Superstar Mahesh Babu teamed up with Tamil director AR Murugadoss, for Spyder, which ended up being a huge disaster. No other actor from the Telugu industry teamed up with a Tamil director after that, until very recently, when Ram Pothineni decided to team up with Linguswamy for Warrior, which also turned out to be a juge disaster.
Now, Naga Chaitanya’s Custody, directed by Venkat Prabhu, has also joined the list, with the film turning out to be a huge disaster. With that being said, everyone is waiting to see if Ram Charan will be able to break the curse with his upcoming film Game Changer, directed by Tamil director Shankar.
