Prime Minister Narendra Modi is celebrating the 75th Independence Day of India in a grand manner, for which he has invited notable dignitaries from all over the country. Of these dignitaries, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minsiter YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu are also a part.
Naidu’s invitation to the event, set to take place in Delhi, came as a major surprise for everyone, given that the BJP has been avoiding Naidu – who is trying to get into their good books again – for quite some time now. Naidu has confirmed that he will be attending the event, making things very interesting in AP politics.
Very infamously, when the YSRCP attacked Chandrababu Naidu personally in the Andhra Pradesh assembly, the political leader left the assembly in tears, saying that he would only step into the assembly again as the CM of AP. Ever since then, Naidu has been away from the AP assembly sessions, meaning that he and CM Jagan haven’t shared the same stage in a really long time. Given that Jagan and the YSRCP don’t differentiate between personal life and politics – as they very often combine them both and take revenge on a personal level, even in politics – it is to be seen whether he would be ready to keep aside his ego and share the same stage with Chandrababu during the 75th independence day celebrations. As Naidu usually keeps a good gap between his personal and political life, it wouldn’t probably be so difficult for him to be seen on the same stage with Jagan, but it is now to be seen what Jagan would do.
