It is known that reacting to the Citizen Amendment Bill which was introduced last week, Students from various universities are protesting.
Now that the protests has turned into violent, it is said that Police too has gone far ahead in order to control them. Especially, the behaviour of Police and their actions last night at Jamia Millia Islamia University has been drawing huge criticism.
Students from all over the country are protesting against Police actions. Other than this, protests from public in demanding to scrap CAB has reached the next level with a train was vandalized by a mob in Bengal.
In Guwahati, people are claiming that due to Police ceasing fire on public, 5 were dead. Over 1406 were taken into preventive custody by Police in Assam.
On the other hand, Supreme Court has reacted to this rage when a petition was filed to take action on Police who treated JMI university students badly.
But the Supreme Court disagreed to accept the petition. It said that because the protests haven’t been controlled fully, they cannot react on it at this moment.
If the damage of properties and violence stops, Supreme Court has made it clear that they will take the petition into consideration on Tuesday.
