After his success with Kalki 2898 AD, director Nag Ashwin has become a pan-India sensation, earning praise for bringing futuristic concepts to Indian cinema.
Following Deepika Padukone’s impressive debut in Telugu cinema with Kalki, there’s buzz that Nag Ashwin may be working with another Bollywood star, Alia Bhatt.
Reports suggest Ashwin recently narrated a strong female-centered story to Alia, who was captivated by the idea and has given her nod. A major Bollywood production company is rumoured to be backing the project.
This film, likely to be on a grand scale, is expected to start after Kalki Part 2, which is set to begin shooting in late 2025 for a 2028 release.
Alia, currently busy with Love and War directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, could be taking on one of the biggest female-oriented projects in Indian cinema if this collaboration with Ashwin happens.
