Teja Sajja has achieved significant success with his recent films, “Jombie Reddy” and “Hanu Man,” the latter becoming one of the top hits of 2024 in Indian cinema, earning substantial revenue across regions including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, the United States, and northern India.
Following this success, Sajja is said to have decided to stop signing new films unless producers can invest heavily in pan-Indian projects and raised his fee dramatically from Rs 2 crore to Rs 10 crore per film, a five times increase.
Currently, he is working on “Mirayi,” directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad. He is also in discussions for two other projects. However, producers are said to have expressed surprise at his new financial demands, which, combined with his expectations for high production values, could lead to project budgets of Rs 30-40 crore.
It is to be seen whether the production houses will come forward to shed such amount to him despite of his popularity nationwide after Hanu Man.
