A burger that has been in a museum for the past 10 years, surprisingly has not damaged till date.
When the last McDonald’s store in Iceland is about to get shut down in 2009, Hjörtur Smárason purchased a burger and fries. He initially gave the burger to the National Museum of Iceland in 2012. But when a few of the children tried to steal fries from it, the museum decided to remove it.
But Hjortur was very keen to have his food item placed in the museum, for which he even landed into a protest. So it was then passed on to a hostel in Þykkvibær, a village in Iceland.

Surprised over the burger, every day, lots of people around the world come to visit it. Adding to it, even a live stream on a website is being run for the same, for which a minimum of 4 lakh views is guaranteed almost every day.
In fact it is not the first time to witness one such act. Earlier in 1996, a woman named Karen Hanrahan purchased a burger and claimed it remained intact even after 14 years.
