One day Aadi sees Jhanvi at a party and falls for her. Later Jhanvi also loves him back and decides to propose to Aadi. Everything goes well until one day Jhanvi misunderstands Aadi due to an incident that happened at her birthday party. What is that incident? Will they get back to each other or not? Needs to be seen in the film.
What about on-screen performances?
Roshan Kanakala comes up with an impressive debut. He puts up a confident act as Aadi and marks his place firmly in the show biz. He suits his role of a rugged youth perfectly and he gets all his basics right in his first film.
Maanasa Choudhary is super gorgeous and gives a memorable performance as Jhanvi. Her chemistry with Roshan is too good on screen and she performs well in all the romantic and emotional scenes as well. The Telugu-speaking girl is sure to attract all the youth with her looks and skills.
Jayram Eeshwar, brother of Siddhu Jonnalagadda is hilarious as the hero’s father. He is refreshing on screen and does an excellent job.
Bindu Chandramouli is also neat with her performance as the hero’s mother while Harshvardhan and Anu Hasan are good as the heroine’s parents.
Harsha Chemudu raises a few laughs with his ‘Ball’ track in the first half while Kiran Macha, Anannyaa Akulaa, Vishnu, Sanjana, and Akshitha are pretty decent in their respective friend characters.
Brahmanandam comes in for a quick cameo while Faima, Lobo, and the rest of the supporting cast are fine in their limted roles.
What about off-screen talents?
The story by Ravikanth Perepu, Vishnu Kondur & Seri-Ganni is trendy and very relatable to today’s new-age youngsters. The conflict points in the story are well thought off and they work out quite well in the narrative.
The screenplay by Ravikanth Perepu & Vamsi Krishna has its share of ups and downs. The film starts on an interesting note. The characters are introduced neatly but the initial portions of the love track are not so convincing. But as the romantic track builds up, the chemistry between the leads works well and the Goa portions are fine with an engaging interval sequence. The second half also starts off well but things keep coming down as it progresses towards the pre-climax. The climax again is weak as it ends on an abrupt note.
The dialogues are trendy and the conversations are well written. A few lines will connect big time with today’s youth.
Director Ravikanth Perepu does an extraordinary job with his presentation. Right from the setup to the characterizations, he made sure that the film would cater perfectly to his target audiences. Had he taken a little care in having a crisp second half and a better ending, it would have been a memorable film.
The songs by Sricharan Pakala are good. ‘Izzat’ is the best song on the album while the rest of the songs go along with the narrative. But it is his background score that takes the film to a whole new level. His EDM kind of a score works well in the film.
The cinematography by Suresh Ragutu is first-rate. He captures the film in good light and his framing is spot on.
The edit by D.Balakrishna Reddy, Balu Manoj D, Ravikanth Perepu & Seri-Ganni needed to be a bit crisper, especially towards the ending portions of the film.
The artwork, choreography, and costume design in the film are well done.
The production values by Maheshwari Movies & People Media Factory are excellent.
What’s Hot?
* Roshan Kanakala’s Performance
* Maanasa Choudhary’s Performance
* Engaging Youthful Scenes
* Interval Sequence
* Superb Background Score
* Funny Father-Son Scenes
What’s Not?
* Lag In Second Half
* Weak Climax
* Initial Portions Of The Love Track
* Forced Fights Sequences
Verdict: As the title suggests, the film starts off well like a bubblegum but gets dull as it is being chewed. On the whole, it is a well-presented new-age youthful love story driven by some good performances and music but the ending is a big letdown.
