A BTech third-year student, Ramya, was brutally murdered on Kakani road in Guntur today. According to the locals, a man on a bike asked the girl to go with him, and when she refused to do so, he is said to have stabbed Ramya in the neck and stomach, with the knife he had with him, and fled the scene.
Ramya was immediately rushed to the Guntur government hospital, but she was dead on arrival.
Urban SP Arif Hafiz examined the body at the Guntur hospital and is said to have ordered an investigation into the matter. State Home Minister Sucharita is also said to have examined Ramya’s body at Guntur’s GGH and said that the murder is very painful and offensive.
The Police department is already said to have leads into the case and into who the murderer is, and more information is said to be obtained once Ramya’s phone is unlocked. On the other hand, the government is said to be giving full support to Ramya’s family at this time.
