Former team India captain, and one of the exponents of Telugu states in the field of Cricket, Mohammed Azharuddin is very bad brutal shock by the Hyderabad cricket Association as his name is going to be removed from the Hyderabad cricket Stadium stands.
The Hyderabad Cricket Association’s (HCA) Ethics Officer and Ombudsman, Justice V. Eswaraiah (Retd), has directed the removal of Mohammed Azharuddin’s name from the North Pavilion Stand of the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium at Uppal.
The order was issued following a complaint by Lords Cricket Club, represented by its treasurer Somna Misra. The petitioner argued that Azharuddin, during his tenure as HCA President, presided over an Apex Council meeting on November 25, 2019, in which a resolution was passed to name the North Stand as “Azharuddin Stand.”
Earlier, this stand was named after VVS Laxman, and no one had an issue with it then, but after Azharuddin‘s name popped up, there were issues. This is rightly being addressed today.
