Telugu Desham Party senior legislator Ganta Srinivasa Rao has been openly supporting Jagan Mohan Reddy in the capital shift decision of Jagan Mohan Reddy. This behaviour of him, irked Chandra Babu Naidu and the TDP sources say that the TDP Chief is going to take strict measures against Ganta.
According to some trust worthy sources, N Chandrababu Naidu is planning to take disciplinary action against Ganta for defying the party line and endorsing the decision of YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to shift executive capital from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam.
It is being said that Naidu told his other party leaders to issue that a show-cause notice be served on Ganta who has to explain his statement of support of YS Jagan’s decision. Before that he will talk to Ganta convincing to change his stand towards the capital issue and if the latter doesn’t form in line, Naidu might suspend Ganta Srinivasa Rao from the party.
If that happens, Ganta will be the second MLA to get out of the TDP. May be, he will also seek a separate seat in the state assembly on the lines of Vamsi.
Ganta Srinivasa Rao has been dormant in any of the TDP activities and missing their party meeting and debates for some period. Though Naidu has been upset with Ganta, he could not dare say anything against him. But it it comes to him versus Jagan, Naidu can take the extreme step by getting rid of one of their party senior leader.
