In a shocking development, Devendra Fadnavis and Ajith Pawar, who have been appointed as the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra recently, have resigned to their posts now.
Opposing the CM and Deputy posts to the duo, the three party combine- Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP approached the court. Shockingly the Supreme Court ordered for the floor test today and BJP was ordered to prove it’s majority. Hours after the judgment, the resignation of Fadnavis and Pawar has shocked the political circles of Maharashtra.
Minutes after Pawar resigned to his post, even Fadnavis announced his resignation in front of the media, saying that he was severely hurt by the attitude of Shiv Sena.
Fadnavis said that Shiv Sena joined hands with BJP during the elections, but only for the CM post, it now diverted towards NCP and Congress. He said that BJP got a clear majority in the elections with 105 seats in hand and has every right to form the government in the state.
Meanwhile, NCP and Congress are celebrating the resignation of Fadnavis and Pawar, considering it as a cowardly attack unwilling to face the floor test. More twists are awaited in a few more hours from Maharashtra.
