Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s much-awaited film ‘Brahmastra’ finally hit the screens on September 9. Despite mixed responses from the audience, the Ayan Mukherji directorial has registered a massive sum at the box office by garnering the biggest non-holiday opening day collection. As per reports, the movie opened with an incredible box office collection of Rs 75 crore globally on Day 1.
The film, which was made on a massive budget of Rs 300 crore, is expected to enter the Rs 100-crore club at the end of its first weekend.
Reports revealed that Brahmastra has done well in both urban multiplexes and ‘mass belts’. “The three national chains have collected around Rs 18.50 crores from all the versions, whereas the non-national chains have put up another Rs 18.50 crores to take the opening around Rs 37 crore mark in India,” a media house reported.
The non-Hindi versions are also said to have amassed Rs 5 crore on the first day.
