A shocking video from West Bengal has gone viral after showing a young boy reportedly falling from a moving train on the Jalpaiguri–Ramnagar route. The incident is said to have taken place near Raninagar Jalpaiguri Railway Station, creating panic among passengers inside the crowded general compartment.
According to people on board, the boy fell along with luggage while the train was in motion. A woman passenger was heard screaming for help, after which several travelers allegedly pulled the emergency chain multiple times. However, passengers claimed the train did not stop immediately and continued moving for nearly 10 to 15 kilometers.
Witnesses also said attempts were made to contact railway helplines, including 112 and 139, but no quick response was received. The video has sparked criticism online, with many users raising concerns about passenger safety, emergency systems, and overcrowded train compartments.
So far, Indian Railways has not officially confirmed the incident or released any update on the boy’s condition. The viral footage has once again highlighted the urgent need for stronger safety measures in trains that carry millions of passengers every day.
