Over the weekend, several Telugu films hit the theaters, including “Spy” starring Nikhil Siddhartha and “Samajavaragamana” featuring Sree Vishnu. Among them, “Spy” was highly anticipated and witnessed a remarkable opening day, indicating Nikhil Siddhartha’s growing popularity.
Unfortunately, the film faced harsh criticism not only from critics but also from the audience. Despite a promising start at the box office in both Telugu states and the United States, the film experienced a significant decline in collections on the second day, failing to recover thereafter.
By the end of the extended weekend, “Spy” turned out to be a commercial failure. In contrast, the scenario for “Samajavaragamana” differed significantly. The movie had modest expectations, reflected in its relatively lower opening day box office numbers. However, the film garnered positive reviews and benefited from strong word-of-mouth publicity.
As a result, collections improved on the second and third days, culminating in packed houses on Sunday (the fourth day). Overall, while “Spy” faced disappointment despite initial hype, “Samajavaragamana” proved to be a success story.
