Dhanush’s latest film, Sir has started on a super bright note at the box office with very good collections reported, with regard to the hype surrounding the film.

Firstly, there wasn’t too much of an anticipation on the film ahead of its theatrical release. But the positive reviews and decent public talk have come to the rescue.

The film has collected a shade over Rs 8 crores share in the Telugu states and it has successfully entered the profits zone in the opening weekend itself.

The film has started on a super bright note with Rs 15 crores gross for the Telugu version. With the Tamil version combined, it has over Rs 38 crores gross.

Despite being a social drama, the film is managing to pull the audience to theaters in decent numbers. The aggressive promotions have worked the trick for the film.

The film is directed by Venky Atluri and it has Dhanush in the role of a teacher. Sithara Entertainments have bankrolled the film and Samyuktha Menon is the female lead in it.
