Last weekend, the cinemas witnessed the release of three films: ‘Nenu Student Sir,’ ‘Pareshan,’ and ‘Ahimsa,’ all of which lacked notable actors. Unfortunately, none of these movies managed to leave a significant impact and received a tepid response from the audience.
‘Pareshan,’ a rural Telangana comedy presented by Rana Daggubati, fared comparatively better in Hyderabad but still fell short of achieving the desired success. Meanwhile, ‘Nenu Student Sir,’ featuring Bellamkonda Srinivas, had a slightly more engaging storyline but failed to captivate viewers, resulting in a disappointing performance at the box office.
Critics panned Teja’s ‘Ahimsa,’ which marked the debut of Rana’s brother Abhiram as the lead actor. The film struggled to attract audiences and suffered dismal collections across all regions.
In contrast, the holdover film ‘Mem Famous’ displayed a stronger box office performance in the United States. Despite the summer holidays, Telugu films are currently facing difficulties in drawing audiences, leading to a dry spell at the box office.
