Tamil star Thalapathy Vijay’s latest theatrical outing, Leo had a stellar start at the box office. The film has registered the all time highest opening for a Tamil film at the box office in the opening weekend.
But after a bright start, Leo has come crashing down in every market. It reached the breakeven mark in the Telugu states but slowed down fully later, meaning there will not be much profits.
In Tamil, the exhibitors and theater owners will be at losses due to the high prices they paid for the film, it seems.
After the sensational start, everyone thought Leo will make merry at the box office and end up as one of the highest grossers of all time, but with the steady slow down at the box office, it has to be seen where the film will end up.
Unlike other Vijay films which have a long run, Leo is struggling to hold the momentum in the second weekend itself.
