Telugu Desam (TDP) politburo member and former MLA, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao posed some serious questions to the Additional DG of the Andhra Pradesh Police department, Ravi Shankar Ayyanar, with respect to the latter’s comment on the GO-1. Bonda Uma found serious fault with the way the Andhra Pradesh Police department has been favoring the ruling party and not being concerned about the welfare of the people.
Uma asked why it is that a department that’s supposed to help the people is in turn suppressing the people’s basic rights, like their freedom to express their thoughts, thus violating basic democratic rights. He said that this is the doing of those at Tadepalli.
Bonda Uma also found serious fault with the way the Police department failed to provide security to a former Chief Minister of the state, Chandrababu Naidu, during his tour at Kuppam; and the way the police department failed to control the crowd and provide security to the people at Kandukur.
