Noted music director Wajid Khan died in hospital on Monday. In Bollywood, he works as a music director along with Sajid for films. The duo Sajid-Wajid have composed music for the Salman Khan super hit movie Dabangg of late.
One of the two, Wajid Khan, was suffering from kidney problems for some days and was being treated at a hospital in Mumbai. The music composer who is at 42, well known for providing chartbuster hits such as Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Partner, Wanted and Dabangg, breathed his last on Monday.
Music composer Salim Merchant, who confirmed Wajid’s death news, stated that the composer was hospitalised few days ago at Surana Hospital, Chembur where he was on ventilator support and his condition eventually deteriorated due to kidney failure.
Many Bollywood celebrities mourned the death of Wajid Khan. Actress Priyankachopra tweeted about the death of Wajid Khan and shared she could never forget his laugh.
“Terrible news. The one thing I will always remember is Wajid bhai’s laugh. Always smiling. Gone too soon. My condolences to his family and everyone grieving. Rest in peace my friend. You are in my thoughts and prayers.” Priyankachopra said.
Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam shared his heart felt condolences on the sudden demise of Wajid.
Actor Varun Dhawan shared a picture of his dad David Dhawan(film maker) with Wajid reminisced the memories and shared that he was as one of the most optimistic people in Bollywood.
Parineeti Chopra, Vishal Dadlani and many others were in utter dismay about his death and shared their deep condolences.
Wajid also has rendered playback singing for Salman Khan films and gave chartbusters like “Mera Hi Jalwa”, “Fevicol Se” and for Akshay Kumar in “Chinta Ta Chita Chita” from the film “Rowdy Rathore”. He recently composed Salman khan’s songs “Pyaar Karona” and “Bhai Bhai”, which were out on YouTube channel during the lockdown.
