The YSRCP government is undoubtedly doing whatever it wants in the state of Andhra Pradesh, or that’s what opposition parties think at least. There have been a lot of remarks against the Central leadership, especially aimed at Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, who have been criticised for letting the Jagan government do whatever it wants.
If sources are to be believed, the Central government has now put into motion the ultimate strategy to check-mate Jagan Mohan Reddy’s and the YSRCP’s monopoly in Andhra Pradesh. The new member-list of the National Committee of the BJP was released yesterday, which surprised quite a few, with the major changes it has incorporated this year.
Ignoring senior members like GVL Narasimha Rao – who is known to be pro-YSRCP – the committee made Daggubati Puradeshwari the National General Secretary. It is now being said that this was done to make sure that every little detail of what was happening in the state would reach the Center, without any bias or meddling in between.
Purandeshwari is not only said to be concentrating on reporting back everything that’s going on in Andhra Pradesh, but is also said to be focusing on increasing the importance of all South Indian states, and to get them additional opportunities. However, her main focus would be to try and get BJP to power in the Telugu states, in the next general elections.
Despite the Central Government releasing an official statement saying that it has no say in the 3 Capitals issue, Purandeshwari has been standing by the farmers and people of Amaravati, and has also stated her support for them.
Political circles are now rife with the idea and belief that this is the ultimate strategy that the Central Government has employed to put an end to the Jagan government getting whatever it wants. It will be interesting to see what all political developments will take place in Andhra Pradesh, from here on.
