In a tragic incident, BJP MP from Himachal Pradesh‘s Mandi Ram Swaroop Sharma was found dead at his residence in Delhi on Wednesday.
As per reports, the MP was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his room in Gomti Apartments near RML Hospital. However, Mr Sharma didn’t leave any suicide note, and the police had launched a probe into the matter.
At the time of the incident, the parliamentarian was alone at his residence in Delhi as his wife was on a pilgrimage to Char Dham. Reports revealed that Sharma was unwell for the past few months. He is survived by his wife and three sons.
Born at Jalpehar village in Mandi district in 1958, Ram Swaroop Sharma was a two-time MP. He was elected to the lower house from the Mandi parliamentary constituency in 2014 and 2019.
Meanwhile, his untimely death has caused tragedy among family members and his party leaders. Several Union ministers, including Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, have mourned the death of Sharma. BJP has also cancelled its Parliamentary Party meeting after learning about this incident.
