Dhruva Vaayu, known for his previous work on Kerosene, is both directing and starring in the upcoming film Kalinga. Produced by Deepthi Kondaveeti and Pruthvi Yadav under the Big Hit Productions banner, the film has already created significant excitement among audiences through its promotional content. The pre-release event took place recently, with BJP leader and MP Raghunandan Rao attending as the chief guest.
During the event, Raghunandan Rao said that watching movie is a part of our culture and is a relief from stressful daily life. He acknowledged about the shift towards OTT platforms post-pandemic but praised the current trend of experimental films in the Telugu film industry, expressing hope that Kalinga will achieve notable success.
Dhruva Vaayu expressed gratitude to those who supported the project, highlighting the contributions of Yakub for dialogues, Akshay for cinematography, and Naresh for editing. He praised the film’s visuals and background score by Vishva Shekhar, stating that they elevated the overall experience. Vaayu mentioned that while many have compared Kalinga to successful films like Kantara and Virupaksha, but it presents a unique concept.
Thiruveer, who has collaborated with Dhruva on previous projects, praised his multiple roles in writing, directing, and acting. He noted that Kalinga is set for release in over five hundred theaters and expressed hope for his success.
Producer Deepthi Kondaveeti shared her excitement about the film, praising the music and visuals while highlighting the strong performances, especially by Pragya Nayan. She expressed her gratitude for the team’s hard work and dedication.
Pruthvi Yadav, another producer, praised the film’s high production quality and the outstanding contributions of the cast and crew.
Pragya Nayan expressed her eagerness for the film’s release, noting the positive reception to the teaser and trailer. She appreciated the team work and said that she is looking forward to audience feedback.
Preethi Sundar and Balagam Sanjay also shared their enthusiasm for the film, with Sanjay urging media support for Kalinga, which is set to premiere on September 13.
