The suspense on the Tirupati Lok Sabha byelection seat between the BJP and JanaSena party has come to an end today. It has been officially announced that the BJP will contest the Tirupati by-election.
Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan, BJP state president Somu Veerraju, BJP state affairs in-charge Sunil Deodhar and Janasena PAC chairman Nadendla Manohar met on Friday and confirmed the news.
The BJP state unit issued a statement to this effect on Friday evening. “During today’s meeting between BJP state president Somu Veerraju and Janasena party president Pawan Kalyan, it was decided that contest from the BJP will be getting into the action for the Tirupati parliamentary by-election. The details of the candidate will be announced by the BJP CEC.”
Janasena activists have been trying hard from the beginning to contest the Tirupati by-election. While the BJP leaders are happy with the decision, Janasena followers are said to be disappointed with Pawan Kalyan’s decision.
