An ad as of late drawn flak in the social media disturbing numerous fanatics of late entertainer Sushant Singh Rajput. Highlighting Ranveer Singh as the brand ambassador for Bingo!, the promotion showcased him as a youngster who is aware of different science jargon like ‘photon’ and equations.
In the Bingo ad, the fried snack brand, Ranveer deals with older men expatiating complex physics terms, while answering about his future plans mockingly. Presently, this rankled the fans of SSR who blamed the brand and Ranveer for ridiculing their idol by deriding his adoration for science.
However, Bingo cleared the air after SSR fans trended Boycott Bingo on social media. Today it stated that it has nothing to do with SSR and is just falsehood. They asserted that the ad was shot in October last year, way before the actor’s death.
The statement read, “A completely false, erroneous and mischievous message is being posted/circulated alleging that an advertisement of Bingo! is making fun of a late Bollywood celebrity. Such kind of erroneous messages are knowingly spreading falsehoods. We request you to not fall prey to such mischievous posts. The recent Bingo! advertisement was shot more than a year ago in October 2019. It is being aired this year because of delay in the launch of Bingo! Mad Angles Cheese Nachos and Bingo! Mad Angles Pizza due to the Covid-19 pandemic,”.
