We are aware that former AP Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya, her husband Bharghav Ram and brother Jagat Vikhyat Reddy, were charged for kidnapping a hockey player and some of their relatives.
The ex-minister was held for kidnapping three people — Praveen Rao, Sunil Rao and Naveen Rao — who are said to be close to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
However, Akhila Priya was arrested and granted anticipatory bail later, but her husband and brother were absconded since then. The latest update is that both Bhargav Ram and Jagat Vikhyat Reddy surrendered in Bowenpally police station lately.
As per reports, Bhuma Akhila Priya and Co kidnapped Praveen Rao and his brothers over a land dispute. They reportedly forced the victims to sign a few documents. Akhila Priya is the prime accused in the case, while Bhargav Ram is accused number three.
