Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is known to apply several techniques to catch illegal students and immigrants. There are several fake recruiters who bring in the students into USA for masters degree. These students will submit fake details to get into the institute and will use this time span on jobs or business rather than on study. Being in one visa and doing the work of another visa is illegal. ICE is now putting a check to these illegal students in USA.
Recently 250 students were arrested and most of them are said to be Indians. In this sting operation, ICE created a fake university called Framington University and started identifying students who are desperate to do jobs in USA while being on student visa. Adding to this, ICE arrested the person who helped these students in getting into the university with fake details.
Previously, ICE created another fake university and arrested several students in similar fashion. So students opting to study in USA need to be aware of the college on hand before entering the country. The intention for a student visa holder should be to study and not to do jobs in the name of a student. If the intentions are not clear, the students may face tough situation with the ICE. Beware!
