Actor Nandamuri Balakrishna had been doing back to back films preferably with popular director Boyapati Srinu and needless to say BB3 is the much anticipated project for the Telugu audience. But it looks like he has put young directors on hold.
Recently directors Santosh Srinivas, Gopichand Malineni approached Balayya. But the actor is yet to take final decision on this projects and it appears that he doesn’t want to test waters with young directors and those who doesn’t have a big hit in the recent times. Well it’s pretty common in the film industry where senior actors work mostly with the renowned and experienced film makers.
However, with the advent of advanced technology and availability of ample of opportunities many young technicians are proving to be no lesser than their senior one’s.
Whether the actor is really occupied to sign new projects or held back because of mistrust on young directors is still not clear.
Santosh Srinivas has his credits as a director for Kandreega and Rabasa and is currently directing Alludu Adurs starring Bellamkonda Srinivas after a long hiatus. Gopichand Malineni is well known for his hit films like Bodyguard, Don Seenu etc. But his recent film ‘Winner’ was a flop. Presently, he is gearing up and pinning hopes on his upcoming project ‘Krack’ with Ravi Teja.
Now Balayya’s decision depends on how well the two directors’ upcoming films fare at the box office.
