Ex-minister, and Telugu Desam Party senior leader Kinjarapu Atchannaidu was arrested for his alleged involvement in ESI medical scam. A short while ago, the high court has granted him bail.
Incidentally, ACB had arrested Atchannaidu 70 days ago in regard to the ESI case and he was recently shifted to NRI Hospital after contracting Covid-19.
Today, the high court has granted Atchannaidu bail on the condition that he should not be leaving the country. But it is still unclear so as to when Atchannaidu will be released.
Atchannaidu had recently undergone hemorrhoids surgery and his health condition is certainly not at its best level. He will be discharged only after he tests negative for Covid-19.
A few days ago, TDP senior leaders Kollu Ravindra, and JC Prabhakar Reddy were also released from jail after they were booked under murder, and SC ST atrocity case respectively.
