After facing tyranny for five long years, Amaravati is back to shining in full glory with the resurrection of the NDA government in the state. In what could be considered a cultural reinforcement to the capital area, the Tirumala Laddu has returned to the Amaravati region.
Earlier, when Amaravati was designed, there was a breakthrough idea of having the world-famour Tirumala Laddu at the Tirumala temple in Venkatapalem which is operated by TTD. But this prospect was scrapped by the YCP government in the last five years.
However, with the return of the NDA government, things have changed and the Tirumala Laddu has returned to the temple starting today, Saturday.
Pilgrims can buy Tirumala Laddu for Rs 50 at the temple. Based on the demand, two laddus are permitted per person and the limit can go up if the demand is low. Exactly 5000 laddus are being served per week at the temple for now.
