In what is to be regarded as an extremely shocking incident that happened on May 22, 2023, Kandula Sai Varshith, a native of Chandanagar, Hyderabad attacked the White House in Washington, USA. Nearly a year and half later, he has been sentenced to 8 years in prison.
Going into the story, Varshith rammed a motor truck into the barriers outside the White House in an attempt to breach the enclosure. His intention was to create unrest and replace the incumbent elected government in the USA with a dictatorship led by the Nazi ideology.
He was immediately arrested on the spot by the FBI agents and was prosecuted for this shockingly peculiar crime. He pleaded guilty to the crime on May 13, 2024, before revealing to the investigators that he was even prepared to arrange for the assassination of the president in order to achieve his goal.
Incidentally, on January 16, the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia sentenced Varshith to 8 years in prison.
While Varshith already had a green card and could have led a happy life in the united states, he decided to commit this heinous crime and is now having to face the legal consequences for the same. He will be rotting in prison for 8 years while his prime youth years disappear in front of him. He was just 20 years old during the time of the incident.
