Ex-Minister and TDP MLA Atchannaidu was arrested a few days ago as part of the ESB Medical scam, by the ACB. A few days before the arrest, Atchannaidu underwent an important surgery. Despite that fact, the ACB brought Atchannaidu from Nimmada in Srikakulam district to Vijayawada.
Atchannaidu’s health deteriorated – as the area where the surgery had been done was bleeding – while making such a long journey, and he had to immediately be taken to the hospital once again. The ACB took him to the nearest hospital after the court had instructed them to do so. As Atchannaidu was in hospital and was getting treatment, the ACB proceeded with the investigation of the case, as per the court’s orders.
Today, Atchannaidu has been discharged from Guntur government hospital, and was seen on a wheelchair upon discharge. This scene has caused a lot of ruckus within TDP, and amongst TDP and YSRCP. TDP claims that Atchannaidu’s health is worsening, and has questioned why he had to be brought out of the hospital if he was absolutely fine.
TDP party members are also saying that the YSRCP government is making Atchannaidu’s life hell because he is about to get a bail from the court. While there is no clarity whether Atchannaidu is about to get a bail or not, one thing is for sure – his health is not any better, and seems to be only getting worse. Why else would have been in a wheelchair?
On the other hand, Atchannaidu has been taken to the Vijayawada sub-jail by the ACB, as soon as he was discharged. He was transported to the jail in an ambulance, which has further fuelled suspicions over the condition of his health.
