All the private bus travel companies in Andhra Pradesh took a critical decision of shutting down their services till end of June. Due to the lock down, all the transportation services across the nation got halted. There is a rule that if private travels shuts their services for a quarter, they need not pay the tax for that quarter.
The private bus travel companies in Andhra Pradesh felt like utilizing this rule and they applied online for the same. AP Government is said to have given green signal for their application. There are around 800 private buses in Andhra Pradesh, which are owned by various travel companies. Most of these buses won’t be in service till the end of June.
Even though the restrictions are getting relaxed, most of the people are fearing to travel freely. Adding to this fear, the private bus companies have to take proper care to sanitize the bus, which would be a tough task. Considering the revenue, sanitation and the taxation benefit, travel companies decided to wait for some more time before they restart their services.
