The Andhra Pradesh High Court gave a shock to the Jagan government. The YCP government has planned a massive solar power project with Rs 6,400 crore to provide solar power to agricultural lands in AP. However, recently, the High court has dismissed the mega solar project tenders following the objections raised by Tata Power on the violation of tender terms in the Central Electricity Act.
Against this backdrop, the High court issued interim orders not to hand over the works to the bidders. With this, the whole process of tenders started again. Now the government has to issue another tender notification and invite tenders once again based on the provisions in the Central Electricity Act.
