Amidst the Covid-19, economy of the nation is in a highly risky position. How fast India can cope up is directly proportional to how well the State Governments encourage companies and startups in the region. In this scenario, BJP Government is checking on each and every State Government and is pointing out the flaws.
Regarding Andhra Pradesh, Central Government pointed out the mismatch in the electricity prices. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated that the Government of Andhra Pradesh is buying electricity at Rs 2.7 from the Central Government and is selling to the people at Rs 9. She questioned the YSRC Government on how the companies and startups will show interest in operating from Andhra Pradesh when the electricity prices are touching the stars. Even the shopkeepers and petty businessmen will encounter huge financial problems due to this mismatch especially during this lock down periods.
BJP further pointed out the way YSRC cancelled already running projects which were tagged to international firms without consulting the Central Government. BJP mentioned that this won’t just do harm for Andhra Pradesh but it will create a bad image for the entire nation. Nirmala Sitharaman stated that the Central Government gave 8025 Crores to Andhra Pradesh in April for Covid-19 efforts.
Nirmala Sitharaman finalized that the Corruption, Caste and Family related politics is pushing Andhra Pradesh backward and she gave a call to the BJP leaders in Andhra Pradesh to make sure that the state performs to the best of its ability in future.
