After the Andhra Pradesh government released the new GOs, regarding the PRC and fitment for the state government employees, a widespread outrage has been growing in the employees, as the new GOs reduce the salaries of the government employees by a lot, with the employees now reduced to earning much lesser than they used to.
As a result, all of them have decided to go on an indefinite strike from February 7th, if the government fails to implement their demands. In this view, and of the protest by the employees, AP GAD Secretary Shashi Bhushan Kumar called the steering committee members of AP employees unions over the phone on Sunday and invited them for talks at 12 noon on Monday at the Secretariat with the committee constituted by the state government, comprising of ministers Botsa Satyanarayana, Perni Nani, Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, advisor to CM Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and chief secretary Sameer Sharma.
However, the AP government employees reject the offer, saying that they are in no mood to meet with them, and made it clear that they want nothing to do with the government, unless and until the government withdraws the GOs it published and continues to pay the employees their previous salaries. The unions have also decided to serve their strike notice to chief secretary Sameer Sharma at 3 pm on Monday.
