Within no time after Andhra Pradesh government has introduced AP Disha Act, a horrifying rape case has been registered in the state.
AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that he was severely moved by Disha incident in Telangana and so introduced an act on her name. As per the bill, he pledged to punish the culprits involved in women harassment within 21 days of the incident.
Now a neighbor boy raped a minor girl in Guntur. The incident came to the light after two days. Opposition parties, women organizations and other activists are condemning the issue. They even stopped AP Women Commission Chair Person Vasireddy Padma from meeting the victim’s family. They demanded to punish the culprit on an outright basis.

TDP leader Nara Lokesh has responded to the issue, saying that it is unfortunate. He asked the state government to implement AP Disha Act and punish the culprit within 21 days as promised.
The issue has become a challenge to the state government. If at all, it succeeds in implementing it and punish the culprit within 21 days, then it would be a major success of YSRCP government that even opposition leaders will have no option but accept it.
