Andhra Pradesh CID has taken up the Margadarshi chit fund scam case as a top priority one and has been amping up the rate of investigation in connection with the case.
The latest news is that the AP CID has named Margadarshi chairman and media baron Ramoji Rao as accused number 1 in this case.
The CID served notices to Ramoji Rao earlier today, asking him to take part in the investigation regarding the Margadarshi chit fund scam case.
This is the first time Ramoji Rao has been named as the A1 in this case and this is a pretty substantial development.
While a few argue that this is a targeting act of the AP government, others say that if there is a scam in Margadarsi, it needs to be unearthed no matter what. Meanwhile, the investigation has hit top gear now.
