After YSRCP government hinted that it is going to shift the capital from Amaravati to any other part of the state, shockingly BJP took the issue too seriously and is trying to use the opportunity to get a base in Andhra Pradesh.
Initially, as Amaravati was proposed as the Capital city by the previous TDP government, it was expected there would be a severe outrage from Chandrababu Naidu and his party people, after Botsa announced to shift the capital.
But shockingly, TDP leaders just opposed the issue and were silent later, without conducting any anti-government activities. On the other side, BJP leaders are taking the issue to the next level.
BJP leader Kanna Laxmi Narayana already held a meeting with the farmers of Amaravati and also demanded Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy to clear all the doubts over the capital issue.
Adding to it, the recently shifted BJP leaders- Sujana Chowdary and TG Venkatesh opposed the shifting of capital, even before State Government came up with an official statement. They stressed the need to develop Amaravati as the best capital city.
The silence of TDP in the much needed hour is surprising. Many opine that Naidu is unwilling to go against the state government, anticipating that it would create unnecessary troubles in the coming days against him and his party. BJP on the other side is able to use the opportunity to its best and there is no strong reply from the ruling party, as of yet.
