Loksatta Chief Jayaprakash Narayan has appreciated Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy upon his three-capitals-model.
While all the opposition parties like TDP, Janasena are opposing the 3 capitals model, Jayaprakash Narayan’s appreciation has acquired political significance. Irrespective of the parties, Jayaprakash is highly respected for his intellectual thoughts and thought provoking ideas. So his support to Jagan’s Capital City proposal has caught an immediate attention.
Jayaprakash further suggested to make Amaravati as the financial Capital. He said that it is quite necessary for AP to develop metropolitan cities after bifurcating from Telangana. He also added that it would be better to construct High Court and Secretariat at one place, admitting that it is a good decision to shift High Court to Kurnool. The actual development is when people don’t require Capital city or Chief Minister, he concluded.
