YSRC vs TDP is on progress in the current scenario and YSRC is scrapping out the projects started by TDP and is building new ones in those places. Most of the tenders of the previous government are now going for re-tendering. Even the capital city of AP, which was fixed as Amaravathi by the TDP government, is now in the thoughts of getting changed.
YSRC leader Botsa Satyanarayana stated that Amaravathi is not the right place for the capital city as all the building has to be dug atleast 100 feet to withstand the occasional floods. It would be expensive to construct building in Amaravathi. He further justified the statement saying that TDP didn’t consider the report of Sivaramakrishnan committee and moved ahead just with the opinion of P Narayanan of Narayana Institutions who is the Municipal Minister at that time.
The new capital for AP will be decided by the experts committee who will start their tour in 3 – 4 days and will take people’s opinion into consideration. The construction of 50,000 homes in Amaravathi for poor too will be shifted to another location.
