Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has approved the proposal to repeal the Legislative Council. The decision to cancel the Legislative Council taken at a meeting of the Andhra Pradesh cabinet on Monday.
The issue of the Legislative Council discussed in detail in the meeting of the Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at 9.30 am. Finally, an important decision was taken to repeal the Legislative Council. Apart from this, Bhogapur Airport, Machilipatnam Airport, and other issues have also discussed in the meeting.
After this, the special session of the AP Assembly started at 11 am. Members of the Legislative Assembly will express their views regarding the cancellation of the Legislative Council in a special session. It learned that the members of the Telugu Desam Party have decided to stay away from the special assembly session.
