Folk singer Mangli has been booked by the Chevella police after a late-night raid on her birthday party held at the Tripura Resort.
The event, attended by several celebrities, is now under legal scrutiny for multiple violations including drug use, absence of official permissions, and illegal use of sound systems.
According to Chevella Inspector of Police Bhoopal Sridhar, the raid was conducted following a tip-off. During the operation, a person named Damodar was caught consuming ganja at the venue. The police are investigating further to determine the extent of substance use at the event.
Mangli has been booked for organizing a birthday celebration without prior police permission and for serving liquor at the party without excise nod.
A case has also been registered against the General Manager of Tripura Resort,, for allowing the event to take place without necessary approvals.
