It is known that AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to reopen the schools which were closed due to the COVID pandemic outbreak in March 2020 in India. It has been more than 6 months that the students are confined to their houses and after facing several inevitable circumstances, Jagan took the dare to open the schools on November 2.
However, the guidelines from the center to the people of the country came lately after the Jagan’s announcement of the reopening of the schools. A while back, the center has stated that the upcoming three months are the most crucial in the prevention of COVID spread as there is already an indication of the start of the second wave of the COVID virus transmission.
Even on the day Jagan announced the reopening of the schools, PM Narendra Modi warned people not to relax as the threat is not completely subsided. This second wave seems to be more potent than than the initial outbreak. Scientists say, this outbreak is mostly asymptomatic and unaware, probably affecting the risk groups outside the family spreading at a rapid pace.
Now, everyone is confused with CM Jagan giving call for the schools to open their gates as the latest second wave hint spread across the nation affecting the morale of the people. During this winter chill, COVID will have an extreme nature to transmit among the children who are the most vulnerable to cold, fever and chills. This vulnerability may force the AP government to back off from their decision to reopen the schools.
